Please Help Me Out: Feedback Needed

NOTE: This post is old, and is probably on different subject matter than my current writing. It is possible the information is outdated or my opinions have changed. -- Josh Klein, May 28, 2012

As we get close to the 1-year anniversary of Josh Klein Web Strategy on June 10th, I’m getting ready to make some exciting changes I hope will make this blog even more useful to you. With that in mind, I would be forever in your debt if you could take a few minutes to answer 4 questions in the comments below.

  1. On a scale of 1-10 (where 10 is most likely), how likely is it that you you would recommend this blog to a friend or colleague?
  2. How did you hear about this blog?
  3. What led you to become a subscriber, versus just reading an article and leaving like everybody else? (or, if you’re not a subscriber, what would it take to convince you?)
  4. What do you hope to see here in the future?

    2. Found your site while educating myself about web strategy
    3. Subscriber via RSS and email, you do an excellent job of providing options for people to get new content
    4. Hope to see more advice for people interested in strategy, there's so much involved with the field that I would imagine there's plenty to share advice wise

    1. 9! You're a smart guy, seemingly without a huge ego that gets in the way of thorough communication.
    2. Not sure…I think I stumbled upon you.
    3. The content is thorough and I always walk away feeling like I learned something.
    4. I would make it more visually interesting…toss a little design at it.
    5. Post more stuff! :)

    Woo! Thanks! The good news is that I'm hoping to get a real designer to take a stab at the blog in the next few months, and I'm planning to post more. The bad news is, I might just be saying that :)

    Josh, honestly, some of your stuff is so good I want to keep it to myself. I don't have people in my circle who are in a position to make use of the information you've been kind enough to dispense but if I did – I would. On a scale of 1 to 1)..a 10.

    I don't remember. I'm sure I fell down some rabbit hole and ended up here. Alltop maybe…

    3. What led you to become a subscriber, versus just reading an article and leaving like everybody else?
    The quality of the information is really top notch. You don't paint rosy pictures. You don’t speak internets. You don't push your services. You don't post every day. I knew I would receive great information and my inbox wouldn't be inundated and the comment section isn't filled with me-toos.

    4. What do you hope to see here in the future?
    More of what made me subscribe. I really enjoyed the interviews and the economic approach to marketing. Personally, I love usability research. oh, an archive would be nice.
